# Accessing Settings

# Open Settings

  1. Click Settings in the sidebar (gear icon)
  2. Settings page opens with menu

# Business Settings

# Configure Store Information

  1. Go to SettingsBusiness Settings
  2. Fill in:
    • Store Name: Your business name
    • Email: Contact email address
    • Phone: Contact phone number
    • Address: Business address
    • City, State, Zip: Location details
    • Country: Country
  3. Click "Save"

This information appears on:

  • Invoices and receipts
  • Email communications
  • Reports

# Tax & Currency

# Set Base Currency

  1. Go to SettingsTax & Currency
  2. Find "Base Currency" or "Currency" section
  3. Select your currency from dropdown (e.g., USD, EUR, GBP)
  4. Currency symbol updates automatically
  5. Click "Save"

# Configure Tax

  1. In Tax & Currency settings
  2. Set Tax Rate:
    • Enter percentage (e.g., 10 for 10%)
    • Or enter decimal (e.g., 0.10 for 10%)
  3. Set Tax Name:
    • e.g., "VAT", "Sales Tax", "GST"
  4. Tax Calculation:
    • Inclusive: Tax included in price
    • Exclusive: Tax added to price
  5. Click "Save"

# Multiple Tax Rates (If Available)

Some systems support multiple tax rates:

  1. Look for "Add Tax Rate" button
  2. Create different rates for:
    • Different product categories
    • Different locations
    • Different customer types
  3. Assign tax rates to products/categories

# Branding

  1. Go to SettingsBranding
  2. Find "Logo" section
  3. Click "Upload Logo" or drag image file
  4. Select image file (recommended: PNG, square, 500x500px)
  5. Logo uploads and displays
  6. Click "Save"

Logo appears on:

  • Receipts and invoices
  • Top of pages (if configured)
  • Email templates

# Upload Favicon

  1. In Branding settings
  2. Find "Favicon" section
  3. Click "Upload Favicon"
  4. Select icon file (recommended: ICO or PNG, 32x32px)
  5. Favicon uploads
  6. Click "Save"

Favicon appears in:

  • Browser tab
  • Bookmarks

# Customize Colors (If Available)

  1. In Branding settings
  2. Look for "Primary Color" or "Theme Color"
  3. Select color using color picker
  4. Preview changes
  5. Click "Save"

# Branches (Multi-Location)

# View Branches

  1. Go to SettingsBranches
  2. See list of all branches/locations

# Create Branch

  1. Go to SettingsBranches
  2. Click "Add Branch" or "New Branch"
  3. Fill in:
    • Name: Branch name (e.g., "Downtown Store")
    • Address: Physical address
    • Phone: Contact phone
    • Email: Contact email
    • Status: Active or Inactive
  4. Click "Save"

# Edit Branch

  1. Go to Branches → Click on branch
  2. Make changes
  3. Click "Save Changes"

# Registers (Cash Registers)

# View Registers

  1. Go to SettingsRegisters
  2. See list of all cash registers

# Create Register

  1. Go to SettingsRegisters
  2. Click "Add Register" or "New Register"
  3. Fill in:
    • Name: Register name (e.g., "Register 1")
    • Branch: Select which branch this register belongs to
    • Status: Active or Inactive
  4. Click "Save"

# Assign Users to Registers

  1. Go to SettingsUsers
  2. Click on a user
  3. Find "Registers" or "Assign Registers" section
  4. Select registers user can access
  5. Click "Save"

# Warehouses

# View Warehouses

  1. Go to SettingsWarehouses
  2. See list of all warehouses

# Create Warehouse

  1. Go to SettingsWarehouses
  2. Click "Add Warehouse" or "New Warehouse"
  3. Fill in:
    • Name: Warehouse name (e.g., "Main Warehouse")
    • Address: Physical address
    • Phone: Contact phone
    • Email: Contact email
  4. Click "Save"

# Language Settings (If Available)

# Change Language

  1. Look for Language selector in top bar or settings
  2. Click to open language menu
  3. Select your preferred language
  4. Interface updates immediately

Available languages depend on system configuration.

# Tips & Common Mistakes

# ✅ Do's

  • Set accurate business information - Appears on all documents
  • Configure tax correctly - Affects all sales calculations
  • Use high-quality logo - Looks professional on receipts
  • Set up branches/registers - Required for multi-location businesses
  • Save changes - Don't forget to click Save after making changes

# ❌ Don'ts

  • Don't skip tax setup - Sales will be incorrect without tax
  • Don't use low-resolution logos - Will look blurry on receipts
  • Don't forget to activate - Branches/registers must be active to use
  • Don't change currency after sales - Can cause accounting issues

# How to Confirm It Worked

# Verify Business Settings

  1. Information saved: Go back to settings, see your information
  2. Appears on invoices: Create a sale, check invoice shows business info
  3. Email uses info: Check email templates use business name

# Verify Tax & Currency

  1. Currency displays: Go to POS, see currency symbol
  2. Tax calculated: Process a sale, verify tax is calculated
  3. Tax on invoice: Check invoice shows tax amount

# Verify Branding

  1. Logo on invoice: Create sale, check invoice has logo
  2. Favicon in browser: Check browser tab shows favicon
  3. Logo in system: Check if logo appears in top bar

# Troubleshooting

# Tax Not Calculating

Issue: Sales don't show tax

Solutions:

  1. Check tax rate: Ensure tax rate is set (not 0)
  2. Check tax settings: Verify tax is enabled
  3. Check product: Some products may be tax-exempt
  4. Refresh POS: Close and reopen POS after tax changes

# Logo Not Appearing

Issue: Logo doesn't show on invoices

Solutions:

  1. Check logo uploaded: Verify logo file is uploaded
  2. Check file format: Use PNG or JPG format
  3. Check file size: Very large files may not upload
  4. Clear cache: Clear browser cache and refresh

# Branch/Register Not Showing

Issue: Can't select branch or register

Solutions:

  1. Check status: Ensure branch/register is "Active"
  2. Check assignments: Verify branch/register is assigned to your user
  3. Check permissions: You may need permission to access branches
  4. Contact administrator: If assignments are correct but not working
