# Accessing Reports

# Open Reports Page

  1. Click Reports in the sidebar (chart icon)
  2. Reports page opens

# Available Reports

# Sales Report

View sales performance over time.

  1. Go to Reports page
  2. Click "Sales Report" or select from menu
  3. Select date range:
    • Today
    • This Week
    • This Month
    • This Year
    • Custom Range
  4. Report displays with:
    • Total sales
    • Number of transactions
    • Average sale amount
    • Sales by day/week/month

# Profit & Loss Report (If Available)

View your business profitability.

  1. Go to ReportsProfit & Loss
  2. Select date range
  3. See:
    • Total Revenue (sales)
    • Total Costs (product costs)
    • Gross Profit (revenue - costs)
    • Net Profit (after expenses)

Note: Requires product costs to be set for accurate profit calculation.

# Product Report

Analyze product performance.

  1. Go to ReportsProduct Report
  2. Select date range
  3. See:
    • Best selling products
    • Products by quantity sold
    • Products by revenue
    • Low performing products

# Category Report

View sales by product category.

  1. Go to ReportsCategory Report
  2. Select date range
  3. See:
    • Sales by category
    • Top categories
    • Category performance comparison

# Customer Report

Analyze customer behavior.

  1. Go to ReportsCustomer Report
  2. Select date range
  3. See:
    • Top customers (by purchases)
    • Customer purchase frequency
    • Customer lifetime value
    • New vs returning customers

# Payment Method Report

View sales by payment type.

  1. Go to ReportsPayment Report
  2. Select date range
  3. See:
    • Sales by payment method (Cash, Card, etc.)
    • Payment method distribution
    • Payment trends

# Inventory Report

View stock and inventory status.

  1. Go to ReportsInventory Report or Stock Report
  2. See:
    • Current stock levels
    • Low stock items
    • Stock value
    • Stock movements (if available)

# Using Date Filters

# Select Date Range

  1. Look for date picker or date filter on report page
  2. Click to open date selector
  3. Choose:
    • Preset ranges: Today, This Week, This Month, This Year
    • Custom range: Select start and end dates
  4. Report updates automatically

# Compare Periods

Some reports allow comparing periods:

  1. Look for "Compare" or "Period Comparison" option
  2. Select two date ranges
  3. See side-by-side comparison
  4. View percentage changes

# Exporting Reports

# Export to Excel/CSV

  1. On any report page
  2. Look for "Export" or "Download" button
  3. Choose format:
    • Excel (.xlsx)
    • CSV (.csv)
  4. Click to download
  5. File downloads with report data

  1. On report page
  2. Look for "Export PDF" or "Print" button
  3. Click to generate PDF
  4. PDF opens or downloads
  5. Can be printed or saved

  1. On report page
  2. Look for "Email Report" button
  3. Enter email address
  4. Click "Send"
  5. Report is emailed as attachment

  • Bar charts: Compare values
  • Line charts: Show trends over time
  • Pie charts: Show distribution

  • Sort columns: Click column headers to sort

# Verify Report Loads

  1. Report displays: Data is shown without errors
  2. Date range correct: Verify dates match your selection

  1. File downloads: Export file is saved
  2. Data complete: Open file, verify all data is included
  3. Format correct: File opens in Excel/PDF viewer correctly

# Troubleshooting

# Report Shows Zero Data

Issue: Report shows $0.00 or no data

Solutions:

  1. Check date range: Ensure correct date range selected
  2. Verify sales exist: Go to Sales page, check if sales in that period
  3. Check filters: Remove filters that might exclude all data
  4. Refresh page: Sometimes needs refresh

# Report Not Loading

Issue: Report page shows "Loading..." or error

Solutions:

  1. Refresh page: Press F5 or Ctrl+R
  2. Check internet connection: Ensure stable connection
  3. Try different date range: Smaller range may load faster
  4. Clear browser cache: Clear cache and try again

# Export Not Working

Issue: Export button doesn't download file

Solutions:

  1. Check browser settings: Allow downloads for this site
  2. Check pop-up blocker: Disable if blocking downloads
  3. Try different browser: Some browsers handle exports differently
  4. Check file size: Very large reports may take time to generate
